Newfoundland & Labrador

Working a regular day job and working a part-time job as a singer/musican
is no easy task.I did it for the love of music
.
From The Rock

Hi,My name is Eric Waterman a resident of Gander,Newfoundland,Canada.
I spent many years performing country/rock/folk songs in night clubs throughout
Newfoundland & Labrador.
Most of my songs was written from memories of growing up in my out-port home
of Boyd's Cove,Notre Dame Bay.
I was a resident of Labrador for many years,and while living there I wrote a couple
of songs about the beautiful land and its friendly people.
My favorite song writers are the late Hank Williams,and Gordie Lightfoot.
My greatest influence in music was my late father who played the accordion
for square dancing.
My favorite pastime is song writing.

[C] I still recall those happy times, it [F] seems like yes- [C] terday,
[C] We would sit close by his side and listen to him [G] play:
[C] Lukey's Boat, I'se The B'y, and [F] that old Gal- [C] way Bay,
[C] Accordion man, I can [G] still hear you [C] play.

[C] Every Sunday afternoon he'd [F] play those gospel [C] songs,
[C] We would sit close by his side and we would sing [G] along;
From [C] Monday to Saturday he'd [F] play those jigs and [C] reels,
[C] Accordion man, how [G] good you made us [C] feel.

[C] I wish I had the power now to [F] change the course of [C] time,
[C] I'd live again those happy days with that friend of [G] mine;
[C] Just to hear him play one more of those [G] old-time melodies,
[C] Accordion man, [G] play again for [C] me

sincere thanks to GEST for supporting my music
